Back in March 2012, Mel and I decided to sell our house in St Marys and buy a new house, we looked at established houses to house and land packages, we looked from Emu Plains, Jordan Spring to Ropes Crossing - Ropes Crossing is where we decided.
Looking at builders, now that was fun, Eden Brae, Fowler, Edgewater, Ancon just to name a few, lots of driving and lots of pushy sales people, from attractive ladies to "attractive" young men to I do not seem interested in selling you a house.
Mel and I finally settled on Jandson Homes (http://jandson.com.au/ ), the design is a Cosmos 4.
What we liked about Jandson Homes was Sid the salesman, he was helpful with no bulls**t, the inclusions and upgrades are more about praticality, the standard inclusions did not seem downgraded basic items. But overall for a comparable package Jandson's were more inline with what we wanted to spend.
Then came organising the loan, we went to Fernando at Yellow Brick Road (http://www.ybr.com.au/branches/NSW/Penrith.cfm) and he was able to organise a loan package with Gateway Credit Union.
Then the land, we wanted an outlook of something, not another house or a roof, so with the help of Sid from Jandson, we found us a nice block in the Barinya Village that would overlook a park and the soon to be constructed Cultural Park that makes up part of the old Ropes Creek railway station, only problem the land was unregistered, that was in February/March 2012, we would have to wait until the end of July 2012 for the land to be registered and then all the paperwork fun begins.
